Finlandia University is a private university located in Hancock, Michigan, United States. It was founded in 1896 as Suomi College, one of the first Finnish-American colleges in the United States. The university serves as a liberal arts institution that focuses on educational excellence, sustainable development, cross-cultural and environmental studies. The beautiful campus features iconic Kivi Chapel and Campus Hill, both designed by renowned Finnish-American architect Eliel Saarinen.
