The University of Detroit Mercy is a private, Roman Catholic university in Detroit, Michigan. It is one of the 28 members of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. Founded in 1877 by the Jesuits and Sisters of Mercy, Detroit Mercy is the largest private Catholic university in Michigan, offering more than 100 academic degree programs. With its main campus located in the historic Corktown neighborhood of Detroit, and its satellite campus located in the suburb of Livonia, Detroit Mercy is committed to providing a welcoming and engaging educational experience for its diverse student body from throughout the region and beyond.
