Central College

Central College is a private liberal arts college located in Pella, Iowa. It opened in 1853 and was originally founded by Dutch immigrants. The campus comprises 33 major buildings made of locally-quarried limestone, the most famous of which is a replica of the Kuyper Fieldhouse designed after the original that burned down in 1939. The college is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America and blends Christian traditions with its education. Central College offers over 70 majors, minors, and pre-professional program areas as well as a variety of experiential learning opportunities, study abroad experiences, clubs, and student organizations. It is committed to providing high-quality education with a focus on leadership, integrity, service, and global citizenship.
